100 Days Under Obama Has Been Sweet!
Thought I would help commemorate this blessed day. The first hundred days of the anointed one. The man who can do no wrong. The one who has the absolute backing of the unions, media and entitlement hungry citizens. His first hundred days have been a magnificent success for those wanting big business government control and regulation as well as an apologetic nation abroad.
Forget about personal responsibility. The government will take care of you. Obama and his minions are seeking that for every citizen. One day I hope not to have to work at all. The government will provide me with retirement, free health care, probably an electric car. If I can’t pay my mortgage they will help pay that off. Maybe all I’ll have to do is join that newly expanded volunteer program and work a few hours a week planting bushes or something at GE (Government Electric) or GM (Government Motors). Maybe I’ll get some power credits or something to pay my electric bill since the Democrats are going to trash free energy enterprise. I think I’ll simply roll over and let the government take care of me. I mean, what exactly is the point in achieving anything when the government will punish you for it with higher taxes. Why bother with the effort? If I make less than say, $40-50K a year, then I won’t have to pay any federal taxes at all apparently. They won’t get my vote but I may as well coattail on their vote buying government nanny program while it’s available.
It’s been an eye-opening 100 days. The progressives are dismantling the Constitution and the values that this country were founded on every day. Maybe this is their revolution like Thomas Jefferson said should happen. They are remaking the country into a European model of regulation and government control. It’s not for me.
They are laying a foundation for power and control for years to come. And they will provide just enough scraps to keep Americans voting for this nonsense. Our Founders wouldn’t be pleased, but they warned of these people long ago. But I don’t think the progressives care much about what our Founders said over 200 years ago anyway. They don’t care about this country’s history. They are destroying our values and sadly that is perfectly OK with the majority, and growing, of this country’s population.
It’s mind blowing to me that people can go to the drivers license office and come back complaining about the experience. Or go to the post office and deal with that. Yet they are fully on board with federal government control of health care, financial companies and the American auto industry. Is this really what you want your government to be doing? You people vote these progressives in and think it will be better!? Really?! Newsflash: The federal government caused the problem with the housing industry. The problem they are trying to fix with borrowing and spending and low interest rates was caused by borrowing and spending and low interest rates. And you Americans keep voting in progressive Democrats and Republicans.
100 days under these people is nothing. They have 1,361 more days to really screw things up. Should be fun to watch.
