Bob Beckel’s Elitist Exchange With Sean Hannity

Democratic Strategist Bob Beckel is an ass. Of course I think he enjoys playing the part of the cranky old uncle that you’re afraid to invite to the party since you don’t know what he’ll end up saying. He was on Sean Hannity’s show last night making the case for Obama’s Administration choices while not missing an opportunity to discredit the Republicans . Typical Beckel. Just let him blather along and sooner or later he’ll run into something he can’t mumble his way out of.

Anyway Hannity was on his long running tirade about the tax cheats and well known tax embarrassments of those trying to be in Obama’s administration. The latest is Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius. Seems she recently had to correct her tax returns and pay almost $8,000 in back-taxes for 2005-2007. I really don’t care about all these tax embarrassments with his administration. It simply shows to me that the tax code is too complicated. It HAS to be fixed.

So this is Hannity and Beckel’s exchange as they discussed Sebelius:

Bob: This woman was governor of Nebraska for two terms right?
Sean: Uh, that would be Kansas.
Bob: Ah, Kansas rather. Someplace out there. One of those states.
Sean: How Washington Elitist? Somewhere in Kansas. Nebraska. Missouri…
Bob: What do I care? I don’t care. I have no interest in going to either one of those places. It means nothing.
Sean: (Looking at him incredulously) It’s bobbeckel [at] foxnews.com…Because I love the middle of America…
Bob: {Mumbles something and gives the bent elbow salute to Sean}
Sean: (Fairly pissed at his guest now) Well, there’s places outside of New York, D.C., L.A. and San Fran…

Not a huge deal in the scheme of things. Beckel enjoys being outrageous. We already know he is an ass. But it is insulting and speaks to me of the attitudes in Washington concerning middle America. I wish the exchange would have been between Beckel and Bill O’Reilly or Glenn Beck. Hannity is too nice. Those other two might have made it a little more interesting.

I’m a Kansas resident and we sure don’t need the likes of Bob Beckel in our great state. It is a relief to know he would be lost somewhere west of Washington if he tried to visit.

While I am a conservative, I really appreciate Bob Beckel. My beliefs and his are totally opposite, but he gives his opinions in a “fair and balanced” way without the hateful attitude of so many other critics. Sean really needles Bob, which is part of the “show,” but sometimes I feel Sean goes too far and Bob gets irritated.
I don’t want to see Hannity lose Bob as the Democratic representative on the panel. Whether or not I agree with him, Bob should be respected, as well as his views. I would want the same respect from others.

I totally agree. Bob Beckel has to be the biggest cry baby lib I have ever heard. It is really kind of funny to watch him right now as HC is going down hard.. lol. Great Job on the Blog.

Dear Bob: I just heard you say that this oil spill is unprecedented. Not so!!! Rachael Maddow did some research on the spills. She reported that there was spill just like this, 30 years ago. Apparently,they tried all the same exact solutions to no avail. (The hat, the “sombrero”, etc.). What I don’t understand is, why hasn’t there been any advancement in technology since then?

Although I am a conservative Christian, I do like your commemts and your honesty
