Cheney is Right: Release the Rest of the Documents

The Democrats are having a fine time watching the Bush administration twist as they play around with our national security and release certain torture documents and keep others confidential.

CNN reported that:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday mocked the former vice president’s call to release additional classified CIA documents.

As Clinton made her first appearance before Congress as the nation’s top diplomat, California Republican Dana Rohrbacher asked if the administration planned to heed Cheney’s call to release documents showing information gained as a result of the Bush administration’s aggressive interrogation techniques.

“Well, it won’t surprise you that I don’t consider him to be a particularly reliable source of information,” Clinton said, to laughter from many in the committee room.

Hahahah. That Clinton. She sure is funny. She should write for Stewart.

Well, Rohrbacher wasn’t all that impressed with Clinton’s comedy material:

She quickly hit back, saying, “Dick Cheney has asked for specific documents to be unclassified. We are not asking for your opinion of Dick Cheney. … If you want to maintain your credibility with us, what is your opinion on the release of those documents?”

Well, Clinton didn’t answer the question. And I’m certain she was thinking that “lady, you’re a Republican. You don’t have any credibility with me either.”

I don’t get these people running our country. They decided to release documents that indicated we “tortured” effing terrorists. You know. The ones that would love the opportunity to off your head given half a chance. If you listen to the people that know about these things, we subject our military during escape and evade type training to harsher tactics than the damn people that want to kill us. These insinuations against the Bush people is complete bullshit. Like him or not, Bush kept this country safe during the eight years he was in office.

I find it interesting that it appears the liberals only want to release certain documents pertaining to the “torture”. Cheney told FOX News on Monday that the Obama administration should release classified documents revealing the results of aggressive interrogation technique. Seems only fair. Obama and his cronies have already damaged our national security by posting these memos for the world to see. May as well go forward and see what we learned by these “aggressive tactics”. It’s a liberal witch hunt.

It was interesting (and nauseating) to read the crap comments on CNN after the article was posted. If Bush had not aggressively protected this country and something had happened, I wonder if these same people would have been the first to whine about how Bush sat on his hands and did nothing. It’s all about ideology. These liberals have been brainwashed to think the party line and not think for themselves. Sure Bush did a lot of things badly. I don’t think he was a very good president domestically. But he made the country safer. Sorry libs. That’s tough to deny.

I think the liberals are afraid to release all of the documents because it would show the American people that there wasn’t much to the accusations of torture and that what we did was very effective in keeping America safe.

If you were an official in the government, what kind of decisions would you be making? Personally I would be afraid to sign for so much as a ream of paper for fear that the next administration would come along and bring charges against me for some damn dumb-ass reason.

The hatred and spitefulness that the Democrats feel against the Republicans is bizarre. They are doing everything they can to unwound what they consider was bad policy. Obama is running around like a scolded little boy apologizing to every country that will let him talk. Making nice with dictators. Bowing before other heads of state. This guy has no clue how to conduct himself internationally. He looks weak and is making the rest of the country seem weak as well. I hope he figures out what he is doing over the next few years before we look really stupid.

This was one of the strongest arguments against an Obama Presidency: his utter lack of leadership experience and skills. If this amateur serves two terms, he may very well preside over the decline of the United States to the status of a second-class nation.

Yep and it pissed me off that all the media focused on was Palin and her lack of experience internationally. The media never questioned Obama’s lack of experience. They still don’t but now it’s kind of comical.
