Democrat Budget Bill Moves Closer to Screwing Up the Country
The AP reports that the Democrats are rushing forward with their budget agenda in time to give Obama a victory within his first 100 days in office. How sweet. And freedom, responsibility and capitalism wept. And the Republicans can do nothing about it.
Most importantly, the tentative agreement would give congressional Democrats the ability to push Obama’s health care initiative through the Senate under rules that prevent filibusters. Under typical Senate rules, 60 votes are needed to advance a bill, but passage of the budget plan would allow majority Democrats to enact the health care plan with just a simple majority and only 20 hours of debate.
If we are going to nationalize health care then I bloody hell want the Democrats, actually all of Congress, to be required to suck off the same piece of crap beauracracy. I want them to stand in line to get treatment. I want their care rationed. My thought on this is if you don’t like the level of your health care that you currently get then do something about it. Get a better job. Get a second job. We have this entitlement mentality that someone has to give us something for nothing. Well I don’t want to the government involved to the point they nationalize health care. It might start as universal care for those that are not insured but what are the incentives for getting off that plan once you start sucking on that particular government teet? The government could have given tax breaks to individuals and companies to make sure health care was affordable, but no. In following their radical Democrat Socialist agenda they want to make sure the government controls it. How has government control of anything been a good ting?
The Democrats are playing political games in suggesting that they are willing to work with the minority in Congress on the budget. That’s utter bullshit.
Republicans are sure to protest the measure as spending, taxing and borrowing too much. And they have been complaining furiously at the prospect of health care reform passing under fast-track rules.
Democrats, including Obama, have said repeatedly that they want the health care debate to be bipartisan and that the filibuster-proof terms would be used only if the GOP obstructs.
Yea, the Democrats are willing to work with the Republicans as long as the Republicans do not disagree with the left. There is no way that Pelosi/Reid will hear anything the Republicans have to say on the matter. They will continue to remind them of who won in ’08.
I’m not fan of Republicans. They deserve what they got. But I damn sure am not a fan of Democrats. As bad as the Republicans had been while in power, the Democrats are much, much worse. This country is screwed.
