I believe these self righteous senators know that if the bill was changed, it could not become law because it differed from the cogressional bill. Therefore the house members would have to come back and vote on the new bill. I wonder what that would have cost in airline fares and other expenses? Maybe these senators could just donate their limos to the poor and get themselves fuel efficient transpotation.
