Gasp! Arlen Specter is a Democrat!
So what if Arlen Specter changes parties? It’s not like he voted with Republicans anyway. It’s not like there is that much of a difference between Republicans and Democrats these days. For the last 20 years they’ve all been pretty much the same big government, big spending party.
What we need is a new party that is for fiscal responsibility and adherence to the Constitution. What we have right now is a Socialist Democrat party and a Republican party that is basically the same as the Democrat party 20-30 years ago.
Specter says that the Republican party has swung too far to the right. I don’t even know what that means anymore. The GOP spent a ton of money. They increased entitlements. Was it not enough for Specter?
It just goes to show how weak the GOP is. They have a lot of work to do.
