Government Protests Against Imperial Governments – The US, Iran and Honduran People Fight

Something interesting is happening in Iran to day. Hundreds of thousands of students across that country is protesting against their government. Planet Iran is live blogging the protests. Interesting that they have such anger toward Obama as they are disgusted with the U.S. administration for having dialogue with the regime. It’s sad because we should be supporting these patriots. Maybe we are. At least I hope these students realize that the people of America are behind them even if our current administration is not.
And of course the situation in Honduras was resolved by a final vote by the people to be rid of the Marxist dictator once and for all. Of course, with little encouragement or help from the U.S. State Department. Gabriel Malor at Ace of Spades says:
Sobering, distressing, heartbreaking, and infuriating. The President of the United States was helping to overturn a free and democratic government for no other reason than he wanted to help a socialist Chavista. This should be the blackest mark on Obama’s record so far (though by no means is it the sole count against him). But, hoo-hum, the Left and the legacy media (BIRM) just look right past it.
Again I hope that the people of Honduras know that the people of America support their freedom. Our media may not. Our administration may not, but the average people, assuming they know about it, are outraged.
The problem is we in the United States are also fighting for our freedom. We have to fight against the lame stream media not reporting anything that damages a big government, freedom destroying left agenda. We have to fight against a big government apparatus that is trying to gain ever increasing power over the people. We have to fight against Marxist tendencies at our Universities. Every where you turn there is another attack against our freedoms in this country. Make no mistake, the freedoms that our Founders died for are being pissed away.
But there is hope. I’m beginning to wonder if the oppressive governments of the world have over-reached in their desire to control the people. In the United States you have never before seen protests, so-called Tea Parties, breaking out since last April. A whole bunch of apathetic people, me included, have been awakened to a United States imperial federal government that they simply cannot agree with. Spending, healthcare, new regulations and taxes are just some of the agenda items of a Marxist regime the people of this country were stupid enough to vote in.
Times are changing though. There is a good chance that massive change can happen in 2010. Hopefully many of the things that the Progressives are doing to this country can be repealed. I just don’t think they are changing enough because nearly half of the U.S. respondents would still vote for a Democrat in a general election. It’s sad to think that Americans know so little about their freedom, or care about it, that they would allow the government to expand and exert greater control over their lives. The looters of this country love their entitlements. But hopefully the brave and smart of this country, like those in Honduras and Iran, will stand up and reclaim the freedoms that many before were so willing to give up.
