Liberals Clueless When Considering the Conservative Movement
I find it funny that the liberals simply do not get the conservative movement. The neckties on talk TV are describing this movement as a split in the GOP. I would say that it is not a split, rather a place for the true middle of America to reclaim its values and principles.
Republicans today are basically Democrat lite. They are not true Republicans in the way the vast majority of Americans describe themselves. People like me have finally found a movement that speaks to them. Belief in the Constitution, limited government, low taxes, etc. These are the principles that the Republicans like Bush strayed from. Finally the Tea Party movement helped give people like me a reason to care. Why should I care about the Republican party when they are not all that different from the Democrats.
President Obama’s talking heads like Valerie Jarret, David Axelrod, the tools on MSNBC and others simply do not get what is happening. They want to claim a split in the GOP when actually people are rejecting what passes as Republicanism. They want the Republicans to stand for something other than liberalism. See the Tea Party is a fight against the Progressives and it is also a referendum that the GOP has got to get their shit together.
Conservatives do not want to embrace a big tent of liberals and moderates. What we want is for the GOP to return to what it stood for before they too embraced big government. If they do then they can win the next two elections. If they do not then there will be a third party split. Sort of.
I think ultimately the lines will be drawn again to Democrats and Republicans. Right now the GOP members are going to have to decide if they are conservative or are simply RINOs. DeDe Scozzafava proves the point. She was a RINO who backed out of the race and is supporting the Democrat now. Clearly these are the type of GOP members that are not needed. The GOP simply needs to weed this garbage out. And the conservative movement is going to do that.
At some point the the RINOs like Susan Collins and Lindsey Graham will be exposed as what they are. They will not survive the change in the GOP. They will be tossed aside. A true conservative movement probably won’t survive and kill the GOP but the GOP will have to embrace the conservative movement and jettison the flotsam to survive. NY-23 wit Hoffman is just the beginning.
The liberals haven’t got a clue what they are about to reap. There are tons of people like me that have been awakened. I saw them at the Tea Parties and the D.C. Rally. They are dismissed and belittled. Slowly but surely we are taking control of the proceedings. See I used to be uninformed and uncaring about the government. Then government bailed out Wall Street under Paulson. I saw billions of dollars being stolen form generations of Ameican children. Genererational theft. I see it now with crap and trade and the health care plan. I’ve had enough and hold both parties accountable. The GOP used to be against such activities. We knew what we would get with the Progressives. Now the conservatives have to remind the GOP just who the hell they really are. Those that believe can stay. Those that don’t shouold go to the other tent.
The Republicans have failed America. Now the radicals are transforming and attempting to destroy this country. A conservative firestorm will take this back. Ultimately getting the GOP back on track with principles and values that this county was founded on and most still believe in is where we are headed in the next couple of elections. It’s not a fringe movement. Or radical right. Or whatever the left wants to spin it. It’s where the country is. We just had to remind our politicians that were elected as a Republican to start acting like one.
