Nancy Pelosi on the Tax Day Tea Parties
Nancy Pelosi believes the Tea Parties were in response to the Americans desire to continue the policies of the Bush Administration. Really? Pelosi and her flying monkeys are already continuing that movement. More spending than Bush. More debt than Bush. More borrowing than Bush. Exactly why would I need to go protest for something that is already occurring?
She went on to explain that 95% of the Americans get a tax cut from the Obama plan. This is true. I got my few extra dollars in last months paycheck. What she didn’t explain was how they had to cut funding to the states in the budget which has the effect of causing the states to raise taxes and fees, so in affect, the tax cuts are bullshit. It was just designed to give Obama a little victory. Go Team Obama! Yay!
The left is calling the movement “astroturf”. It’s supposed to be a snub to the grassroots movement from which this actually rose. Apparently Pelosi believes this initiative is funded by the “high end”. I didn’t see too many high end folks at the Nashville Tea Party. Just regular folks. It was held during the lunch hour so people would have a chance to come by during their lunch break and support other people who wants to stop big government and wasteful spending
The fact is, the left elitists are afraid of this movement. It’s the only thing that I can figure given their rampant attempts at discrediting it at every turn. From blogs to media they have done their best to belittle and smear the movement.
I can only hope the movement continues and grows ever bigger until we can star voting folks out of office and getting fiscally responsible people, whether Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Libertarians or a soon to be named party. Let’s keep it going and keep the free spending politicians sweating!
