If you get a break on your federal taxes are you getting a subsidy? If you personally are given tax breaks aren't you going to be incentivized to spend or save? same with corporations I think. We need to pay the true cost for gas and oil even if that cost is large. Admittedly I am not sure about how to account for the implicit subsidy that is our imperial arm in the middle east and other parts of the world.
