Pelosi and Detainee Photos While on Vacation
I went on vacation last week. I decided not to care much about the state of the union while I was gone. I figured to simply enjoy my time away from the computer. I’ve never watched news (until recent FoxNews viewings) so I figured I would be completely off the grid. No Fox News. No blogs. Nothing. And we will see what comes up when I get back.
So I return to find that Speaker Pelosi and the CIA are trying to decide who lied to whom. I got myself a heckuva chuckle out of watching Pelosi stumble her way through her little press conference last week. She lied. She needs to admit it. The country has no confidence in her bumblings and will certainly not believe a thing she says going forward. She has effectively neutralized herself. That is good for the country. I’m sure she won’t be stepping down or be replaced. Which I can’t decide is if this is good for the country or not. I think it might be better for the country if the Democrats are stupid enough to leave an incompetent bumbler as their leader.
The other item that I find has the blogs and news all excited is that President Obama has decided not to release detainee abuse photos. That was a tasty flip-flop. Seems both sides are excited that the president chose to do the right thing. It’s too bad that we have to find relief in our elected leader for doing the right thing. Like it wasn’t even expected. That he surprised us was the big news.
So all in all nothing changed while I was on vacation. Members of Congress lied. The President flip-flopped. Seems like it was a productive week for our incompetent government.
