President Obama Continues His Incompetent Leadership
I do not understand President Obama. By now everyone knows about the interview his own hand-picked general, Stanley McChrystal had with 60 Minutes. The President has only talked to his field commander once in 70 days. I find that bizarre. I understand the chain of command that should be followed. But it gives this appearance that he is too far removed, that he doesn’t care. Obama is the one that wants to continue the war in Afghanistan. But it seems like he wants to be removed from it too. It’s bizarre behavior. Incompetent behavior. If I was Commander in Chief I would want the people that are on the ground running this war to know that I care. I would be chatting with the commanders a few times a week to get the situation report first hand. But no. At the same time it has come out that he doesn’t talk with the troops, he decides to jet off to Denmark to try to secure the Olympics for Chicago. Again, how are we to perceive that? Shouldn’t he be more engaged in the war than for an Olympics bid that neither the city or the country can afford?
I am terrified this administration does not have the competence or the strength to handle the situation in Iran. French President Sarkozy is not impressed with Obama. If the French leadership is essentially saying that our President is a wimp dealing with Iran then we have some problems:
‘President Obama dreams of a world without weapons…but right in front of us two countries are doing the exact opposite,” Mr. Sarkozy said.
“Iran since 2005 has flouted five Security Council resolutions,” Mr. Sarkozy said. “North Korea has been defying Council resolutions since 1993.”
“What good has proposals for dialogue brought the international community?” he asked rhetorically. “More uranium enrichment and declarations by the leaders of Iran to wipe out a UN member state off the map.”
Things are so screwed up in this country. While governments across the pond are running away from Socialism some people in this country are running toward it like a bunch of idiots. This country used to represent the land of the free. Liberty. How have we gotten to the point that we do not want to do for ourselves and want the government to take care of all our needs. Help buying a home. Buying a car. Health care. Bailouts. Then there is the corruption no one wants to report on. The payoffs to big business and unions. I hope that starting in 2010 we can somehow sweep away all the flotsam that is currently serving in Congress. There are some really shitty people serving in Congress right now. Their radical views are an attempt to dismantle everything that this country has stood for since the Founding.

Running away from socialism? Hmm… I didn’t know Denmark was running away from socialism. Our public sector has grown considerably since a liberal/conservative government came to power in 2001. I gotta admit that you have a somewhat wrong view of what a socialdemocratic system is. No, the government does not help you with buying a house. No, it doesn’t help you to buy a car. Where did you even get this idea? Yes, it does provide you with universal healthcare and we love it
