Screw the Two Parties – I Support Constitutional Conservatism

Bill of Rights

Where does the government get the authority to mess around with the economy? And why does it think it think it can do a better job at creating jobs and wealth than business owners. The vast majority of the people we elect to represent us in our government have never been business owners. Our president has never had to make big decisions in his life outside of those that everyday people make in their own lives. Look at the people he has chosen around him in the White House. Who exactly is advising him that has ever run a business? That has ever governed before?

This country is a scary place to live in if you care anything at all about personal responsibility these days. The government is apparently going to take from those that earn the wealth and redistribute it to those that don’t. The people in charge have no interest in increasing this country’s wealth. China has a couple of trillion dollars saved. Instead of nation building and living beyond it’s means like the United States they now have an incredible amount of money to spend buying assets that will further increase their wealth.

Our pathetic leaders would rather borrow money from the next generation and give it those most likely will help keep them in power. I have no illusions that it is only a Democrat ploy. The Republicans do the same thing. There is virtually no difference at all between the two parties in this country. McCain is not much better than Obama. Romney is no better. Huckabee is a likable fellow but he is big government too.

Before I started paying attention I used to think Ron Paul was a nut. If you weren’t really listening to him you’d think he was some crazy old guy yapping about the constitution and conservatism. I didn’t listen to him. By god, I’m listening now. He is the only one that gets it. Paul got into with Lindsay Graham over the weekend.

The WSJ reported:

Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul took to the cable networks today to jab back at South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, who over the weekend said he would not sit back and watch the Texan “hijack” the GOP with his brand of Republicanism.

“My first reaction would be, ‘What does he have against the Constitution?’ And the supporters I have support me because I’m a traditional conservative and I support the Constitution,” Paul told CNN in an interview tonight.

He cited Graham’s support of TARP funds and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and “all the big government things” as examples of why his supporters feel lukewarm about the GOP. “These are the things that constitutional conservatives don’t support,” he said.

I used to have respect for Graham before I knew what the hell I was doing. He’s not much better than the folks on the left. He thinks his brand of government is better than the Obama brand. It’s all freakin’ government man!

Ron Paul is right. What we need is limited government. The left keeps hammering the right as the party of no. Well, I’m glad someone is saying no. Just because the government wants to do something does not mean that it needs to get done. And it doesn’t mean that another plan needs to be written either. Sometimes it’s best to just do nothing. Let the free markets sort this shit out.

I don’t want the government trying to fix things. Either side. Left or right. They are both incompetent. Time and again either side spends too much or screws things up. The American people have been screaming NO for the last year but these clowns have not been paying attention. The American people have woken from its slumber. Its laziness. Its apathy. Washington still doesn’t get it but I think at their peril they are about to. Elections are coming and a movement to get this country back on the rails of constitutional adherence is coming. The Republicans and Democrats don’t have a clue. Support of constitutional conservatism is rising.

Yah, during the 2008 election I thought Ron Paul supporters were crazy folks. It all makes sense now. I pray everyday for that man’s safety.
