Senator Nelson Gets Buy Out. Senate Has 60 Votes to Pass Health Care

Senator Ben Nelson was able to get the proper buy out and caved to the Democrat pressure giving the Democrats the 60 votes need to pass the health care bill out of the Senate. This is despite 66% of the population wanting less government in their lives (Rasmussen). This is despite only 35% of the population say passing health care is better than nothing (Rasmussen). He got his abortion language (which is good) but he was also given a tasty handout, ala Mary Landrieu, of millions in Medicaid funding for his state of Nebraska. Just more money that we don’t have to give that will be borrowed and your kids will be paying for.

The people of this country are getting raped. We are telling our leaders NO and they continue to force their agenda on us. These people in D.C. are beyond arrogant. I am kind of glad that they are voting in this manner because they are committing suicide. The two chambers of Congress are going to look far different after the election in 2010. The asshats in D.C. are sitting in their bubble believing that we will forget. That this will blow over. That they will get re-elected. It ain’t gonna happen.

Bill O’Reilly said something interesting during one of his recent shows. He said he thought that eventually all of these changes will be repealed. It was a quick comment that wasn’t discussed. The people of this country have the power to do that.

I just worry that we have a population that have, or are, getting used to government handouts. Conservatives and libertarians want people to use freedom and free markets to improve their lives. Marxists and liberals prefer that the government increase in size and provide everything. I would prefer to be poor and free than enslaved by the government. That view isn’t shared by maybe 30% in this country. If the Democrats have their way that number will grow and be a formidable voting block.

Were we directed from Washington when to sow and when to reap, we should soon want bread. – Thomas Jefferson

Anyway, the Republicans are going to make the democrats read aloud their 800 page monstrosity of an amendment. Seems only fair since no one but a few has actually seen it. That’s the joke of the whole process: if the bill was so great why are they trying to hide it from the American people? Why are they trying to jam it down so fast? Why are they writing this shit behind closed doors and having no transparency at all? They are not working for us. This is straight up tyranny.

All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent. – Thomas Jefferson

America was silent for too many years. and we ended up with tyrant leaders, Omama, Reid, Pelosi and Emmanuel. They do not hear the people. They will in 2010. This kind of shit will not be forgotten.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. – Thomas Jefferson

It’s time they fear us. They aren’t there yet but they will reap what they sow in November.
