The American People Deserve Better Than the Current Health Care Reform Efforts
Why is anyone surprised that Sen. Olympia Snowe will vote yes for the finance committee’s health care reform bill? The woman is hardly a conservative. She is a big government Republican. This comes as no surprise. I’m sure someone gave her a goody bag to vote yes. She should just run as a Democrat because I can’t really see what good she is to the GOP. What pisses me off about the whole thing is that the White House will claim bipartisanship because one turncoat votes for this crap. This is not bipartisanship.
The American people deserve so much better than this. They deserve policies that create jobs. They deserve to have a future that is prosperous. They deserve to have politicians that work for all Americans and not for the special interests that consolidate their power. Until we the people get it through our heads that our government is corrupt and all politicians need to be replaced, we are going to suffer through policies such as this unconstitutional wealth redistribution and government intrusion into our lives.
I am all for health care reform. I’m for insurance reform. But I cannot understand what exactly we are going to gain from the various HC bills being tossed around in Congress. Will it save me money? Studies say no. Will it reduce the debt or deficit? Studies say no. Will my health care improve? No one is even talking about that. Not one politician can say that if they pass a bill that they have somehow made the coverage I now enjoy better.
10 years from now after we are all sucking off the government health care welfare which has ballooned in cost by trillions of dollars instead of fantasy that they project now, we are going to be wondering why it couldn’t have been better. Maybe at some point some generation will actually have the balls to stop the spending and stop doling out entitlements and actually shrink the government. The people of this country need to wake up if they want this to be a country for the people and by the people. As it is now this country is ruled by an elite political class that is consolidating its power at the expense of the American people.
The far left liberals and the far right wingnuts will never change. But the people in the middle. The people that just want to be left alone and work hard and raise their family and go to school and have some fun, they need to stand the hell up and be heard. Right now. If you want health care reform, then fine, let’s do this. But let’s make it something worthwhile for the people of this country and not yet another damn power grab by the politicians.
