The Government Needs to Stop
Does anyone really get that the government is out of control. It is rolling the dice and playing with your money. Your kid’s. Your granchildren’s. I’ve been a keen observer of the reaction that we get from people expecting and desiring a government handout. It’s scary that there are people in this country that expect the government, we the people, to simply hand over our wealth. The people that produce are now further on the hook to those that consume. It’s that simple. The Democrats have rolled back almost all of Clinton’s welfare policies of the 90’s.
I think the government needs to get out of the way. It is over reaching the boundaries that the Founding Fathers envisioned for government. Instead of idolizing the cult that is the President, treating him like a You Tube star and acting like he is an American Idol, you should be far more concerned about what the government is going to take from you. Can’t you see that they are taking your freedom out from under you?
The 5 suggests the following actions be taken by our government:
…we’d just ask the government to stop what they’re doing and get out of the way.
Stop intervening. Stop spending our money. Stop printing more money. Stop keeping people and businesses in places they can’t afford. Withdraw our military from its zillion bases around the world. Slash and simplify our burdensome tax laws. Nip all the protectionist trade policies brewing in Washington. Make our entitlement programs sustainable or get rid of them.
And we’d ask our representatives to set an example. Americans need to pull back, start saving again and move toward a productive, sustainable way of life.
“History shows,” reads the foreword to Financial Reckoning Day, which we just happen to be updating for release later this year, “that people who save and invest grow and prosper; and the others deteriorate and collapse.
I couldn’t agree more.
