TV Squad Writer Danny Gallagher Insults Tea Party Patriots
Danny Gallagher is a writer for TV Squad weblog. It is part of the Weblogs network of blogs that AOL purchased a few years ago. He wrote an article on Glenn Beck in which he made the point that $17,000 of police overtime was used to pay for Beck’s visit to Mount Vernon, Washington. It’ s a good question that 1) doesn’t concern Gallagher because he doesn’t live there and 2) has nothing to do with TV. The blog seldom calls out other celebrities in their off TV activities. But apparently since Beck, and Fox News, is taking fire from the left these days, this wannabe decided to join in the fun.
That’s fine. He can write whatever he wants. I don’t have to read his articles or ever visit the website again. Eveybody has a choice here. But he can’t expect me to sit back and let another liberal insult those that dare to protest against our government at the Tea Parties. He ended his sniveling little article by saying:
Where are the teabaggers when you actually need them to protest unfair taxation without representation?
Yea, he used the tired and insulting word teabagger. The derogatory term that the left has decided to use to describe fellow Americans who disagree with them. Civility is dead in America.
I called Gallagher out on using the term. I complained to AOL that employees or contractors of their sites should not be flinging insults, especially when they do not tolerate them among the people that visit. If you are curious go to TVSquad.com and look for today’s article about Glenn beck. I will not be supplying that blog with a backlink so I’m not linking to it.
I did register a complaint with AOL. You can do so too if you feel as I do that these people need to be called out on using this derogatory term. TVSquad blog may seem like a nothing entertainment blog, but it is part of an American corporate media powerhouse. They need to be called out on it as much as NBC and ABC news. Click here to register your complaint. It doesn’t take much time.

“1) doesn’t concern Gallagher because he doesn’t live there and 2) has nothing to do with TV”
Have we really degenerated to the point where we can’t comment on things unless we actually live in the vicinity of where they occur? If that’s honestly the point you’re proposing, Glenn Beck himself would be out of a job.
As for your second point, it’s absolutely true. I for one have never, ever seen Glenn Beck on television. Nope, not once. Clearly he’s a man who is never on television and thus has absolutely no relation to it in any way, shape or form. You are nothing short of a patriot for pointing this out.
